In March 2013 I began project coordination for EC Arts, a west midlands public art organization. My main focus was to support the development of a public art strategy for Dines Green, a housing estates on the outskirts of Worcester. The strategy was commissioned by Worcester Community Housing and in partnership with Worcester City Council and Worcester Community Trust.

 

Between May and October collaborations with artists Hannah Hull, Elizabeth Rowe and Chris Poolman, EC Arts produced a programme of events ranging from a theatre club to starting The Dines Green Museum. Residents helped inform permanent and temporary art works across the estate with the support of artists Lucy Mclauchlan, Simon Peplow, Log Roper, Tilly Wilde Dan Newso, Leah Carless and Luke Perry.

 

This years events will feed into a wider public art strategy that will be delivered in 2014. This strategy will work with residents and partners to develop site-specific public art project that considers wider needs of the estate.
